Don't listen to Jim Rickards

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Before Trump was elected, Rickards was hawking his video to customers, telling them the stock market would crash if Trump was elected. In stead, the opposite happened.

The stock indices and vast majority of stocks soared. Then, he came out and said the market would crash when the Federal Reserve raised interest rates. The Fed raised rates .25, which was widely expected, and again, the stock indices soared. So, I am sitting on over $20,000 in losses, probably more, as I don't want to open up my brokerage statements and see the damage.

I think the guy is an intelligent charlatan. Interesting, this review site requires the consumer to write at least one hundred words before they will publish your review, so I am typing a bunch of worthless nothing until the 100 word minimum is met.

Agora over hyped, over priced and underdelivers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought into Jim Rickards Gold Speculator program for over $1,700. It is a gold penny stock program with a few mainline gold stocks.

Most of them are well known and common knowledge. They tell you to allocate a certain percent in each of the approximately 12 funds. I placed into the program $22,000 [not including the subscription fee above] but because from last February 2016 until now the gold market has gone down, down and down with only a few good days. I found my self rebalancing and selling out and buying back into the stocks several times to save my money.

In the last two days the market is finally turning favorably. Jim did send each of two 1/10th size certified gold coins worth about $170 each. We are hit with ads every day. My account is worth about $7300.

Jim wrote several best selling books on gold the man is a genius but his result are not worth the money so far. Agora makes it money through subscription from people like me looking for an "edge" to make up for money we want and need for retirement. He is a good salesman and I think he really believes in what he is doing but he must know his customer are not too happy. I can't say we are victims but we are over sold and there is very little compassion to help us out of the rut we are in...and he never talks about it.

I would say stay clear of Agora...many service out there that have similar programs for far less money playing the same gold stock almost.

I know enough now to do this on my own and getting better results. Buyer beware.

Empty promises

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Agora Financial is clearly long on the promises and talk and empty on producing any investment information of any substance whatsoever! Like so many others they are in the business of selling newsletters, not providing meaningful insights or tips on the markets. I could have written better stuff than I read. Like empty suits.....these guys are EMPTY PROMISES!!!! Stay away. Certainly cannibis is is an area for investment, but in a developing markets especially the key is eliminating the so called wheat from the chaf! Agora does no such thing. They hook you with very broad based information and slowly reel you toward a $2000-$3000 report which I understand is of very little material use for making big return investments.

Once they have your data, you will be charged a second or third time or ... Although I like Bill Bonner's view on woldly things and politics, it's too bad that their organization can be labeled as a scam the way they act. Too bad, because a few of their comments are actually good. But you would need hours per day to read the overdose of mailings from them and hours & hours of videos. It all comes down to a massive sales pitch with the same ending: please pay more money for more reports. The typical very low insistence of "Buy now" and you get free this & that; every happening in the world is "never seen before" "most solid way of getting rich", etc. etc. Concrete and short clear recommendations are not part of their "intelligence". You'll be very soon tired of their always and ever returning sales pitches (they would make a great team with Trump: "great, fantastic, huge gains, biggest, largest happening, dark secrets seeing the light, a little know secret,.....". Mostly bull. Stay away from them.

Idiots, haven't you ever heard, if it's to good to be true? You don't ever get rich easy, you must get your *** out of bed early in the morning before daybreak and go to bed at midnight to make a buck.

This is the funniest thing, I guess the people must have sat around and smoked a bowl full before starting this site to see how many *** there really are out there.

Roger. I’ve heard what you say many times in my life.

I will say, that I have watched what people doing the suggestions that A Knuckman has given, have made tidy sums very quickly. I feel they probably will continue to make more. My beef is that these people must have a level 3 options trading account, which is totally impossible for me to acquire- believe me I have spent 2 mo. Of my 12 mo.

Subscription finding this out.

I contend they knew this before taking my money. So, No, ANYONE can’t do this.

Pot penny stocks

deceptive project that advertised you could make millions from their penny pot stocks program. Charged $2000 for the service and gave you information and you followed it and lost a lot money!

It was not allowed you to cancel the project and without refund. It said since they mailed you a package to instruct you and actually just a few pages of same stuffs they already by email and on their website. They also tried to sell more services and charged more on you.

I complainted to the costumer service and they did not agree and bad service and even not answer my questions. It was really a bad financial service and how they were allowed to do this business and let so many people on their treating boat!

they're asking for $3K today. I'm waiting for a call back.

Don't think they'll call back. The operator asked which offer was I inquiring about. It was like she didn't know how to answer my simple question: how much does it cost? She really didn't know.

The operator then said they have a $550 per quarter payment plan. $550 X 4 = $2200!

That's not $3K. They've got to be lying sacks of ***.

Agora Financial Subscription Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Agora Financial signed up my 83 year old mother who neither has the cognitive ability to invest nor any funds to do it with. She has no memory of doing it. They charged $2,550 to her credit card and have refused to refund it. My mom has very little savings and that is a large amount to her.

Taking from the innocent

Shame on you - at your age - YOU should have known better! Even IF - you felt it had potential - do not you have someone you can confide in - to ask advice? Sad - the 'Babyboomers' are being targeted in so many ways. I remember taught as a young Man - to NEVER hurt a Child, Women and Old people - because your conscious will bring on a '***' you can never forgive yourself. These days when these VERMIN take from US (babyboomers) they are taking from The Elderly; Children/Grandchildren - our inheritors; and our Wives - women. How low can one get?! What is the difference between an GREEDY person and an Vulture? The Vulture picks your bones when you are dead - whilst the GREEDY picks your bones looking into your eyes while still breathing!

SPAMMERS !!

they must be desperate, sending spam and *** thousands of people off. most people like me will NEVER respond to spam, just make a list of all the companies that will NEVER get your business. I have gotten spam from spammers that Agora financial pays to send to many addresses. NOW I got one directly from them. never trust a company that is willing to stoop this low. I wonder if they know the more *** they send to people that did not ask for anything.... a review is made.. this is a great way to stop companies from sending or paying spammers to fill your e-mail box.

The sight for the Laissez Faire Letter

I got the message, "Why didn't you want the letter with the free book?" I did, and I ordered it for a one year plan. I entered my information and clicked on continue, only to have it say it again.

My original promotion code was ELFLT447. Then I ended up doing it over several times. I hope I only am getting it once for the price of $49 Today is June 24, 2017. It would stop on June, 24, 2018.

I hope I didn't order it more than once. I am very upset with this. Please, if I ordered it more than once, can you please delete the other orders that are only repeats of the first order. I do want it, it's just that I only want ONE order.

Your add was weird and misleading. I will have my bank stop any orders other than the first order. Thank you, Mrs.

Pissed off about losing Gold speculator

got into this at a price of maybe well not sure but then another offer came up about same thing but this time I had to pay a much higher price, to find out about GOD'S gold this gave me my membership into gold speculator which I was very happy this was even discounted back to the offering price because I was unable to get money from 1 bank which I use for these and other transaction on the net or phone, I missed the period but Mike aloud me access to gold spec. which I got this info for two years at a discounted rate which is really the price at offering that my bank trouble the next day Mike kept his word I got the membership for two years there was never any talk about life time membership at that time or I would of took that so now I find out through this Byron secret that slipped and kind of let the cat out of the bag just enough to grab attention 1000% that now only life time membership there's another fee NOW IT IS 4000.00 great sellers of deception I call this preying on older people who don't have a lot & are trying to get caught up for what's coming in near futher And the people that are seeing this are being held hostage it is a sad day when people like Agora fin.

use fear mongering to get people in then keep upping the price this is sad gerald_kimble @***.com maybe a class action suit? on twitter jerrykimble7

James Rickards claims his service provides expert inside knowledge of Gold mining stocks that will enable one to invest for vast gains safely. B bit having respected his books and TV appearances for years.

But his recommendations on junior gold mining stocks have resulted in massive losses for me. This service is a costly education in what not to invest in.

I purchased the JR Strategic Investment to hedge my bets just in case he was right. While I have no doubt that Mr. Rickards is a well rounded economist the problem is that his conclusions are always 100% wrong. When the Yuan joined the SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) Rickards suggested it was the end of the Dollar as we know it. I spoke to a former European Secretary of the Treasury to get his input and he said nothing would change. Sure enough, October 1st rolled around and not only did the Dollar not evaporate it actually rose. His constant alerts that gold will rise to $5-10K over the next few months are not only wrong they down right crooked predictions. I have no doubt that gold will eventually rise but the question is the time frame. Mr. Rickards is nothing but a scammer trying to sell is highly inaccurate publication, it is really a shame, because he probably is a talented economist and could do very well by his readers if he didn't try to BS them.

Agora Financial - Subscription Review

I purchased a paperback of James Rickard's The Road to Ruin for 3.95£ through his Strategic Intelligence publication. After Scrupiously cancelling a subscription, I was subsequently -ROBBED of $132.10 +$1.32 service charge on 1/19/2017. At some point in all this I started receiving a newsletter from Agora Financial, from which " Jim Rickards" has sent emails. I have contacted both, asking for the immediate return of funds. Otherwise...
